Happy Hannukah!

Happy Hannukah! I thought that Alexis would have been a little more excited than she was. We lit the candles and opened presents every night. She loves all of her new toys, clothes and movies, but was not all that interested in opening the gifts. Her favorite part was the Dora paper. Marc and I had our annual Hannukah dinner with our friends. We all had a great time, exchanged gifts and had lots of food. Can't wait for next year!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Florida! We had a great trip! Besides seeing our family, spending a few hours at the beach was my favorite part. Alexis still loved the water and ate her fair share of sand. Scott and Teri hosted a fabulous Thanksgiving with great food and company. Lex had so much fun playing with her cousins, dancing, running around City Place, and riding in her favorite toy at Myca's birthday party. We can't wait to visit again soon!!!

Happy Halloween

new favorite pic!

Halloween was the best this year! We had a whole week of festivities including costume day at music class and the wildlife center in Wyckoff. On Halloween, we went to the Seifert's for trick-or-treating and playing with our friends. The girls all got the hang of going to doors and getting candy. They had so much fun in their costumes, and so did Marc of course! Keeping in tradition, the girls all sat on Marc's lap and screamed for a great picture. We all had such a fun day!

Pumpkin Picking

We went pumpkin picking at Demarest Farms. Alexis loved the hay ride and running around all of the pumpkins. It was a very cute day!!!

Phil came to visit!

Alexis and Phil had such a fun play day! Rachel and Phil came to visit us for the day. The kids had a great time playing and so did Rachel and I. They had so much fun running around together at the park, playing at my house and sharing lunch and dinner together. We joined them for Alexis' first meal at McDonalds. Marc was so proud, although he wished that he was there! She of course liked her chicken nuggets and apples, had some of Phil's fries and loves her happy meal toy. Hopefully we can get together often b/c they really had fun! We miss you guys already!!!

We miss you Kodiak!!

R.I.P. Kodiak
July 1998 - October 2010
We are so sad to have said goodbye to Kodiak :( It really was one of the hardest things that we have done together. With that said, we do celebrate Kodiak's life. He really did have it all. Born in Tucson, AZ, Marc rescued him from the Humaine Society at 3 weeks old. He was the cutest thing on campus. He really did grow up fast, right into sophomore year of college life. After getting trained, he learned to build a tolerance, played with dogs and friends, ran away on occasion, and even found his first love in Daisy Rhodes. After graduation, he went back to Chicago with Marc. I joined them and we all lived in the city. Lucky for Kodiak that Chicago has dog friendly bars. We all went out, had some drinks and played pool while Kodiak had beer in an ashtray on the floor. What a life! After a few years, we all moved to Hoboken. I call this his middle age years. Every opportunity that he had during a walk, he layed down and refused to get up. Parker Siefert came along and him and Kodiak were instantly best buddies! He was an overweight, lazy apartment dog and we loved it! We moved again to the suburbs where he retired. Kodiak loved this house. He ran around the yard, walked the neighborhood, and hung by the pool. It took a little adjusting for him to love Skylar and Sage, but in no time, they bonded. Sage and Kodiak were the best of friends. We are so glad the he was around for the first year of Alexis' life. We hope that she remembers how much she loved her first doggie!
Kodiak lived in 6 homes, 3 states, swam in the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Michigan, drove from Tucson to NJ, had friends, loves and the best family of pets and people. We will forever miss him!!!

Alexis is walking!!

Alexis is off and running! One day she took a few steps and by the next morning, she was everywhere!! She is so proud of herself - and we are too!! No more sitting on the couch for me. We also learned that she can not come out of her stroller or high chair at a restaurant, b/c she will not go back in. What a big girl!!!

Nate the Great!!

Thanks for my shopping cart!!

Nate's first kiss! Alexis' 3rd kiss. Meant nothing to her!!!

We are so glad that the Waitzman's and Ashley came to visit! We really had such a fun weekend. It was great to finally meet Nate. Alexis might have fallen in love (again) and gave him a kiss to seal the deal. Watch out Jack and Colin Barone! Alexis loves her new shopping cart (b-day gift from Mike, Katie and Nate) and has been pushing it around the house everyday since they left. We had a lot of laughs and wish we could all get together more often!

A week at the beach!

We rented a house in Long Beach Island for a week with the Seiferts. We had a great trip! We went on the rides at Fantasy Island, went to the beach everyday, walked around town, ate too much, and had a blast. The girls shared a room and could not have been more excited to spend everyday together. Alexis loved the beach. She probably ate too much sand, but it didn't hurt her. She also finally got a tooth this week and learned how to stand on her own. Kodiak, who hasn't gone on a real walk in months, even went on a walk everyday. It was so nice to spend each night playing games with our friends and not having to worry about the babies or driving home. We all had the best time! Can't wait for next year!
